Faculty of Business and Economics

The following Business & Economics students are not required to use Allocate+:

  • Off-Campus Learning (Distance Education)
  • Flexible Learning
  • On-Line
  • Open Learning

If you are studying a combination of units on and off campus, you are required to allocate into your on campus unit(s) only.

Change your enrolled units

Allocate+ allocates you into the teaching activities for a unit you are enrolled in. To enrol in a new unit or change an enrolled unit, access WES (Web Enrolment System). After you enrol in units or change your units, you are required to access Allocate+ and allocate into your newly enrolled units.

Auto Allocate

Allocate+ will automatically allocate students into classes, where there is only one single activity, resulting in no option, eg; i. one 3 hour class on one particular night each week ii. one lecture and three tutorials (you will be allocated into the lecture but are required to allocate yourself into a tutorial).

Preference Entry Mode

Undergraduate students will be using Preference Mode only. A unit may consist of a number of activity groups, ie. lectures, tutorials etc. You are required to enter six time preferences for each activity group in each unit, if six preferences are available. If not, you must enter as many as are available. The one exception is if there is only one activity offered students will be auto allocated (see auto allocate above).

Adjustment Mode

DBA, Graduate and MBA students will be using Adjustment Mode only. Adjustment Mode allows you, the student, to allocate directly into any class, as long as you are enrolled in the unit and there is a place available.

ALLOCATE+ CHECKLIST FOR STUDENTS

Before you contact the ALLOCATE+ administrator, please follow the steps.

STEP 1: Check for Non-BusEco Units

Is the unit in question one that belongs to Business & Economics?

  • If not, contact the Faculty Administrator for the applicable faculty.
  • (A list of other faculty administrators can be obtained from online student help within Allocate+). Do not proceed to STEP 2

STEP 2: Check Student's Enrolment on Callista

Have you used the correct AUTHCATE details?
Are you correctly enrolled in a course and units for Semester One 2008?

  • Check your enrolment details in your Monash Portal

Did you change your enrolment on WES. If so you will need to re-allocate only into the changed unit/s.

After the sort, you can only allocate into classes where there are places available.

IF you answered NO to any of the above questions, the problematic unit will not be in ALLOCATE+.

Amend your enrolment before accessing Allocate+ again.

If you answered YES to each question: Fill out the following student details:
