How to select preferences Allocate+
- You need an Authcate account and internet access to use the Allocate+
system. If you do not have an Authcate account, you can register for
a new one via the Accounts
and Passwords web site.. You will need your Monash student ID or
VTAC number to do this.
If you already have an Authcate account, and are having trouble loggin in,
please see the Accounts
and Passwords web site.
- Ensure you are using version 3 or later of Netscape
or Internet Explorer (Click Help, About... to find out).
- Go to the Allocate+
student login page.

- Enter your authcate username and password. Once you have logged-in,
you will see your enrollment for Summer Semester, Semester 1 and Full
Year units in 20XX on the left-hand side of the screen. Please note that
it may takes 2 hours for changes made in WES to transfer over into the Allocate+
system:

- Select the first unit from the list on the left-hand side of the screen
and key in preferences. You will need to nominate at least six
(6) preferences if they are available. If there are any flagged
timeslots you must include them in your preference list,
even if they are your last two preferences:

- Once you have nominated your preferences, click on the
button,
and make sure you get a screen similar to the following:

- You will need to repeat this process for each activity group in each
unit you are enrolled in. Once you have completed this, you can then
click on 'My Preferences' to check an overview of your preference selections:

- If you go back into a unit you have already set preferences for, you
will see a summary of your preferences, and be able to amend them:

- Once the sort has been completed (see the timeline for
details) you will be able to select 'My Allocations' and see which activities
you have been scheduled into, and be able to make amendments.
- When you have finished, click on Logout to exit

- You should now close the browser window to prevent anyone else from
changing your preferences.
